Our hybrid system
is unbeatable.

Overhead line masts.

Combination of the best properties.

Hybrid electricity pylons in the overhead line area have several advantages:

If the materials steel and GRP are combined to form a pylon for power lines, together they can withstand wind and weather, electric shocks and rodents.

Steel and GRP also offer no opportunities for insect infestation, wildlife damage or rot.

Robust

The hybrid mast has high strength and low deflection with a comparatively low weight. Even under extreme weather conditions, it behaves extremely well, lateral vibrations and ice-induced galloping are not an issue. Electric shocks are avoided thanks to the high dielectric strength / insulating properties of the GRP attachment. Steel and GRP offer no opportunities for insect infestation, wildlife damage or rot.

Flexible

The GRP upper section can be flexibly provided with holes and recesses in the factory or on site. Existing attachments such as crossbars, clamps and sleeves can be used. The pole cavity is ideal for safely accommodating cables and earthing in the pole. The connection between the steel and GRP part ensures a structural element that yields in the event of an extreme event. In the event of a tree collapse, for example, the upper section is detached and can be easily replaced, while the steel lower section remains in place.

Animal welfare

The current-insulating GRP top section protects landing and resting birds and complies with the strict German application rules for bird protection on medium-voltage overhead lines (VDE-AR‑N 4210–11). A special bird perch on the crossbar protects the birds if the phase spacing is small.
