Non-conductive and luminous: GRP lighting columns.

FUCHS Europoles GFK increases safety at e‑filling station

Thanks to two GRP lighting masts from FUCHS, anyone exiting the A3 highway near Neumarkt / OPf. to charge their electric car at the filling station there will be able to see through the darkness in future. Thanks to its material-specific product properties, the pole made of glass fiber reinforced plastic is particularly well suited to this highly demanding task. Non-conductive, robust, maintenance-free and durable: these were decisive criteria for our client when choosing the product, which means that local authorities and private sector charging station operators also benefit from our GRP all-rounder. Produced in next to no time and very easy to install, the lighting column also impresses with its rapid availability.

Solutions for conventional masts too

Thanks to its special manufacturing process, the GRP light mast not only offers structural advantages for a wide range of applications in the mobility sector. On request, it can also be customized with a wide range of design options. For example, clients can color their mast to match their corporate design in RAL colors or optionally adapt it to local conditions with reflective films in the interests of road safety.

But even for e‑charging stations that are already equipped with a conventional steel mast, Europoles FÜCHSE offer a suitable solution to further contribute to personal safety: a non-conductive contact guard encases the steel mast and shields it at reach height. In this way, we are not only equipping new charging points with future-proof infrastructure. Existing charging stations also receive an update from the GRP production facility.

Suitable solution for increasing demand

Around 33,000 new charging stations were installed in Germany last year. In order for the infrastructure to keep pace with the predicted growth in e‑vehicles, studies suggest that there should be over 710,000 publicly accessible charging points by 2030. While this highly exciting form of transportation not only represents a new chapter in individual mobility, the „electric vehicles“ also place special demands on the infrastructure. The non-conductive GRP light pole is a standard-compliant product solution for the sensitive high-voltage area at e‑charging stations. WIR FÜCHSE also offers customized GRP products for airports, for example for instrument landing approaches. Barrier booms or flagpoles from Neumarkt also bring progress for the infrastructure.
